Sven Regener, Richard Pappik and Ekki Bush, all three are known and connected by the Band Element Of Crime, have recorded a Jazz Album. They play with trumpet, drums and piano twelve classics of jazz, mainly from the 40s and 50s: pieces by John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker and others.
Regener Pappik Busch do not need any special reason to play these pieces. Their audible desire to fabulate music, their unconditional acceptance of every song, their common instrumental pre-press without inhibitions, reservations or package leaflets explain themselves. A jazz album of quite unusual freshness has emerged, a carefree romp in a musical world that is no stranger to the three, but new and exciting. Hard rain, film noir, melancholy: we’re coming!
