Minnie Hill is an award-winning composer, arranger and saxophonist. Minnie’s “virtuosic knowledge of the richest sounds possible in the saxophone and trombone sections” (The Australian) makes her one of Melbourne’s most exciting up and coming arrangers/composers.2021 saw Minnie release her debut big band album, ‘The Remarkable Dave Brubeck’ to great acclaim. This album features many of Melbourne’s top jazz musicians, with a guest appearance from Grammy-nominated trombonist Marshall Gilkes on her composition ‘Remarkable’. ‘The Remarkable Dave Brubeck’ was featured as ‘Album Of The Week’ on ABC Jazz in July 2021, while the band was shortlisted in the 2021 ‘Music Victoria Awards’ under the category ‘Best Jazz Act’.
