On her new album “Spurensuche” the pianist Kyra Steckeweh brings together piano works by three very different composers. They are fascinating rediscoveries of music that has long been forgotten. For the first recording of the Westenholz Sonata and the sonatas by Dora Pejacevi’c and Ethel Smyth, Kyra Steckeweh worked with original sources from archives in Croatia, Great Britain and Germany in order to get as close as possible to the music.
