“Club Azur” is a digital club initiated by Kung, which Valentin Brunel, Kung’s real name, launched during the pandemic.
In 2016, Kungs became known worldwide with his hit “This Girl”: the single reached No. 1 in the singles chart in 46 countries, including Germany, where the track was also certified double platinum. The debut album “Layers” (2016) won the NRJ Music Award in the category “Electronic” and sold over 1 million copies.
This was followed by worldwide festival appearances and remixes for superstars such as Coldplay, Axwell, Ingrosso and Dua Lipa. The song “Never Going Home”, released in the summer of 2021, became a global summer hit and reached No. 1 on the airplaycharts in France and Italy as well as platinum status in France, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland.
This was followed by the singles “Lipstick” and “Clap Your Hands”, which is inspired by the disco vibe of his “Club Azur” parties and comes with a Boney M. Sample. The 11 track album “Club Azur” contains features by Boys Noize, Good Times Ahead, The Knocks and Victor Flash and is released on CD and vinyl.
