‘Kim Wilde’ reached #3 on the UK charts when it was first released in 1981, driven by the hit singles ‘Kids In America’ (UK #2, Australia #3, USA #25, etc.), ‘Chequered Love’ (UK #4, Australia #9) and ‘Water On Glass’ (UK #11).Kim Wilde remains an icon of British pop with a worldwide fan base that adores her. She became an overnight sensation in 1981 with the worldwide success of her single “Kids In America”, which added a very British touch to the new wave energy and glamour of Blondie. Throughout the 1980s, Kim had numerous hits, first with RAK Records (with the help of father Marty and brother Ricky) and later with MCA (when she started writing songs herself and toured with Michael Jackson and David Bowie).

Re-release of Kim Wilde’s debut studio album from 1981 as a triple disc edition. On CD1, in addition to the ten songs of the original album, there are four additional bonus tracks. On the second bonus CD there are twelve mixes. And Disc 3 presents promo videos and a recording at Top Of The Pops!
