The Colombian violinist Juan Carlos Higuita is one of the performers who has most energized the music scene in recent years in our country. Lover of chamber music, which has served for decades from different groupings of renown national and international, is also restless and open to new languages and codes for your instrument, the motivation that gave rise to ‘soundscapes’, album with music for solo violin and electronic means, which are available on different digital platforms for the last few weeks.This work is made up of works by eight composers – six Colombian, one Swedish and one Argentine – and, in his words, it is “a bet that I have been making for several years to know, rescue and also help spread the music that is made in our continent and especially in our country”.
