Based on the sound of the acoustic jazz quartet, the “Johannes Metzger Quartet” goes its own way in contemporary jazz.

The line-up offers the four musicians from Berlin and New York enough freedom to act improvisationally. At the same time, there is no need to compromise compositionally.

Rhythmically fine, melodically fresh, yet accessible – the sound of the band impresses with transparency, which, however, leaves nothing to be missed in harmonic expressiveness.

Enriched at selected points by electronic effects, rousing energy and pulsating grooves are created, as well as spherical soundscapes that encourage the audience to close their eyes and let themselves fall.
