Freddie King (* September 3, 1934 in Gilmer, Texas; † December 28, 1976 in Dallas, Texas) was a blues musician and one of the “three Kings of electric blues”, alongside Albert King and B. B. King. His style influenced Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Lonnie Mack, among others. He was also one of the first blues musicians to play with a band of blacks and whites.
