With her latest album, English musician Beth Orton returns to a point in music where ‘dreamy folk meets electronica’, a sound that made her famous 90s, but adds more spice by being creative with her instrumentation. The guitar has always served Orton well in her musical ventures, and here we can hear an increasing focus on the keyboard, which facilitates an even more electronic sound. A wonderful new album from a very talented singer-songwriter.
