One of the most important artists of our era, Ryuichi Sakamoto has had a prolific career spanning over four decades, from techno-pop stardom to Oscar-winning film composer. The evolution of his music has coincided with his life journeys. “Coda” is a compilation album, originally released in Japan. All titles except “Japan” and “Coda” originally recorded for the soundtrack of the motion picture “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence”.

83年の公開以来初めてリマスターされた「戦場のメリークリスマス」と共に、「戦場のメリー・クリスマス」のピアノ・バージョン・アルバムである本作もオノセイゲン氏によってアナログマスターからリマスタリングされました。
本作は、1983年に「Avec Piano」というタイトルで思索社から発売されたカセットブックに、「Japan」「Coda」の2曲を追加してLPとしてリリースされたものです。
