The reference to the pop star is probably once again pure irony. Pat Appleton is pretty good at that, to say and sing things with her pleasant contralto voice, which one should not take too seriously. That has also made her well known internationally, as the female lead singer of the German Bossa-Jazz-Soul group De-Phazz. “A Higher Desire” is Pat Appleton’s third solo album released in April 2017.
