The star-studded performances feature Lee Morgan, Donald Byrd, Andrew Hill, Herbie Hancock, John Ore, Butch Warren and Philly Joe Jones. Standouts include “Me ‘N You,” “Carolyn” and the title-track. This is gritty hard-bop at its finest. Essential.
